Have you ever looked around while in the gym and noticed many of the people are still overweight and obese, even after years of exercising? It's almost laughable at this point but in many communities today there are beautiful upscale gyms available which seem to take you on a temporary vacation while exercising. Once you go into these places they automatically recommend a personal trainer or some type of fitness evaluation or analysis. Consistent workouts are usually emphasized for adequate weight loss but believe it or not exercise play a much smaller role in weight loss!
Your diet (what you eat) -exercise ratio should be 80:20. Eighty percent diet and twenty percent exercise or even a ratio of 85:15 would be good. What and when you eat is vital and key to healthy consistent weight loss. Your focus should be eating homecooked, whole food meals, mostly fruits, vegetables, seeds, nuts, and smaller amounts of grains or carbohydrates.
You should preferrably eat after a minimum of 12 to 18 hours (includes sleeping hours), this is called intermittent fasting. Intermittent fasting is key to losing weight naturally and healthily. Fasting not only helps with weight loss but it also helps to improve your overall health and boost your immune system. Intermittent fasting also helps you to practice self control and can bring to life any emotional eating issues you may suffer from.
